Week 2 ( Novelty,Creativity,Innovations and Inventions)
NOVELTY
There are lots of different ways in defining Novelty, some of it are 1) Novelty often known as something new or unusual and 2) The quality state or being novel ( newness ) .
Novelty could be built in one’s self as long as the person have determinations in doing something new and uniquely creative and unusual for the better use of one’s life or the world . Usually someone who have the “Novelty” inside their faith are man with vision and mission and know what’s best to make their living a paradise .
We want to take Leonardo Da Vinci in this 2nd assignment as our example as a man of Novelty . Da Vinci had been creating a lot of a very “New” and unusual things or machinery and trying to make a better life for humans in continuing their days on the earth . He is famously known as the Italian Renaissance of polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist and writer whose genius, perhaps more than that of any other figure, epitomized the Renaissance humanist ideal . Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance Man, a man of "unquenchable curiosity" and "feverishly inventive imagination"
One of Leonardo Da Vinci’s artwork ;
CREATIVITY
From the words of Linda Naiman , she said “ creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing. Innovation is the production or implementation of an idea. If you have ideas, but don't act on them, you are imaginative but not creative.”
And also my research I found out that "Creativity is the process of bringing something new into being creativity requires passion and commitment. Out of the creative act is born symbols and myths. It brings to our awareness what was previously hidden and points to new life. The experience is one of heightened consciousness-ecstasy." - Rollo May, The Courage to Create.
And again words form a wise man said that “A product is creative when it is (a) novel and (b) appropriate. A novel product is original not predictable. The bigger the concept and the more the product stimulate further work and ideas, the more the product is creative."- Sternberg & Lubart, Defying the Crowd.
From here, we understand that Creativity is made of new ideas, novelty, imaginations and appropriateness. Creativity must often be original and unpredictable to receive better appreciations by the audience. Creativity don’t just come, we have to work hard in order to conquer them .
Leonardo Da Vinci is also a man of creativity with his unusual ideas and inventions. His creativity is shown by him in throwing it his in artworks, inventions and others. He’s a very curious man and he cautiously explored his mine and the idea that was produced is widely known to be very creative, very original and very Leonardo Da Vinci’s.
INNOVATIONS
Innovation is creating a better a product out of something that already exists to make it more effective and accepted by the markets.
Innovation is very much needed in this demanding world of today. Let’s face the fact that the people of yesterday have better original ideas than people of today, we used the old ideas into making a better
innovated world.
There are four key elements in Innovation;
Collaboration
Collaboration is one type of group activity familiar to community development. There is no shortage of initiatives intended to be collaborative. Collaboration has never been easy, mostly because conflict and competition within and among groups dominates the landscape. As everyone tends to avoid tension, what we actually may be left with in communities is peaceful (or less than peaceful) coexistence, and not
collaboration. It may be a good time for re-thinking collaboration.
Ideation
Fresh, new ideas help your organization stand out. With intense competition for resources, organizations
must differentiate in order to survive.
Implementation
What good are new ideas if they are not put to use? Organizations must engage the best people to champion their ideas and keep those great ideas moving forward.
Value Creation
You don't have innovation if your new ideas aren't creating value. Organizations must implement ideas and programs identified as most effective in delivering value to stakeholders.
INVENTIONS
Inventions are a novel composition, devices and process. An invention can be produced from ideas that already existed or a model. It can be freely conceived in which case may be a radical breakthrough.
Invention is a creative process. An open and curious mind allows an inventor to see beyond what is known. Seeing a new possibility, connection, or relationship can spark an invention. Inventive thinking frequently involves combining concepts or elements from different realms that would not normally be put together. Sometimes inventors disregard the boundaries between distinctly separate territories or fields. An invention can be serving many purposes, these purposes might differ significantly and they may change over time. An invention or a further developed version of it may serve purposes never envisioned by its original inventor(s) or even by others living at the time of its original invention. As an example, consider all the kinds of plastic developed, their innumerable uses, and the tremendous growth this material invention is still undergoing today.
Example it can be seen by the wright brothers inventions,

For me,the inventive element might be only a small part of the whole idea. But if that small part makes a big difference to the commercial prospects of the idea, it could be an important and valuable invention.
"The people of yesterday have better original ideas than people of today"
I agree that the people of yesterday have better original ideas than people of today.Btw,what we can do is try to find new ideas even refer to an old idea for a new idea is a bonus. For example, in the business world a new idea is the most important aspect to compete with other.
Lastly, what can I say is we need to be the best among the best because creativity always exist everywhere....

According to the article, I think that Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention are the main aspects in a quality product that will be considered by the community. With this aspect, too, we can relate to the product of a human life every day.
Because, based on the experience of the society over the world that can produce products that are useful and appreciated by them.
The conclusion is the designer of a product have to follow the main aspects of practice in creating something, they will be created based on the needs of the community.

As stated in the article , these four main elements which are Novelty,Creativity,Innovation and Inventions are important towards the idea of a person.
Novelty , is the quality of being new. By using the original idea from old works to create somehow new and improve work for the future generations. The old can be new but in a different part of way. That is why creating something from the original to produce a greater work.
Creativity as you know and stated in the last article is a great source of idea.To produce something and also different than the others needs creativity. Without creativity, one work can just seem so dull and cannot give out the innovation it needs.
Innovation is how the information is giving out.One art work needs a strong innovation to grab the attention of the people and to understand how it is made and why. There are 4 key elements in innovation which are collaboration, ideation, implementation and value creation.
Inventions are to those who create knowledge and use it, Invention has been a great deal for the humankind.Without letting others bring you down makes the invention more and more proud. Example the nobody would believe that a human can fly , the wright brothers prove them wrong and created the first flying invention.
Conclusion, these important things , are the essence to build a greater future for the future generations.

The article is trying to say that we need the four main points to retrieve our creativity thinking which is Novelty , Creativity , Innovation and Invention .
From there I learned all the four points are connected to each other .
In my opinion novelty plays a great part in this world . people need originality to really go far , yes ,it's hard to achieve , but it was all worth it , every sweat , every pain . Novelty could bring us way ahead and beyond any expectations in this world and could make a normal human being to a respective human being .
and my opinion in Creativity , I believe those people out there who have vision and mission to be accomplished need creativity in order to do so , they need to create unique ways and techniques to achieve such glorious victory as creativity involves on how the people think and do things .
and as for Innovation , the residents of the world need to be prepared to move the world to a higher level . We need the first two points to be innovated , as improvising and making things better than before need unique original ideas to do so .Innovated could bring people into being a better person to achieve such greatness in this world.
last but not least , we earthlings need inventions to continue living . Invention have helped loads of people in doing their work , their daily chores better and easier . We need novelty , creativity and innovation to be inventive . Invention is also a way to know if that someone or that country had already shoot above the moon than others .

Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention are needed qualities for people now days as they lack these qualities. These qualities are needed because they make a person unique.
Novelty is something where it's new, unique and extraordinary. It could be shown as a person's originality. Creativity test our minds thinking power, showing everyone how we a different among the others in the parts of thinking. Innovation is where we elaborate certain thing to make life better and for a brighter future. While as Inventions is making the real deal. Creating something unique as if you're turning fantasy into reality. Anything can be achieved once you put your mind into it.
Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention, it's amazing to find out how it's related to each other.
Novelty is the quality of being new, or of being striking, original or unusual, while creativity refers to the phenomenon whereby a person creates something new be it a product, a solution, a work of art, a novel and etc, that has some kind of value.
Invention is a novel composition, device, or process which may be derived from a pre-existing idea, or it could be independently conceived, in may be a radical breakthrough, while innovation is the creation of better or more effective products, processes, or ideas that are accepted by markets, governments, and society. Innovation differs from invention in that innovation refers to the use of a new idea or method, while invention refers more directly to the creation of the idea or method itself.
To be a successful designer, one must take into consideration on novelty, creativity, innovation and invention.
For me, novelty is some new, unique and original. It can range from ideas, items, songs or even a theater show.
Creativity refers to the phenomenon whereby a person creates something new that has some kind of value. What counts as "new" may be in reference to the individual creator, or to the society or domain within which the novelty occurs.
Invention is something unique, different from any existing device or product that achieves a completely unique function, discovery, or result, may be a radical breakthrough.
And innovation is is the creation of better or more effective products that is acceptable by the community. Innovation differs from invention in that innovation refers to the use of a new idea or method, whereas invention refers more directly to the creation of the idea or method itself.
When these four element combined, they can unleash some of the greatest items in the world such as the Da Vinci tank, or even the telephone and computers if we were to take a more modern inventions.
But however, there are also a few failed inventions or innovations that were created although they have apply all aspect of the four elements. One of these examples is the Panjandrum created by the British during World War 2. The reason why it was a failure was because they wanted to create the ultimate weapon but neglected the safety aspect. So, sometimes other than the four aspect above, we sometimes need to think of other aspects as well.
